The TPS22810 is a single-channel load switch with configurable rise time and integrated fast output discharge (QOD). In addition, the device features thermal shutdown protection to prevent excessive device junction temperature, thereby internally ensuring the device is in a safe operating area. The device includes an N-channel metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET) that operates over an input voltage range of 2.7V to 18V. The SOT23-5 (DBV) package can support a maximum current of 2A. The WSON (DRV) package can support a maximum current of 3A. The switch is controlled by a switch input that enables direct connection of low voltage control signals.

The device's configurable rise time greatly reduces inrush currents caused by bulk load capacitors, thereby reducing or eliminating supply voltage drops. Undervoltage lockout is used to shut down the device when the VIN voltage falls below the threshold to ensure that downstream circuits are not damaged due to the supply voltage falling below the expected value. A configurable Quick Output Discharge (QOD) pin controls the fall time of the device for flexible design against power-down.
