DS1685EN-5/T&R Overview
A package named 24-TSSOP (0.173, 4.40mm Width) contains real time clocks.There is a packaging method that is similar to Tape & Reel (TR).A voltage of 4.5V~5.5V is required for the supply of this electrical RTC.Electrical real time clocks of this type are Clock/Calendar.Surface Mount is the way this real time clock (RTC) is mounted on the system board.In order to be safe, electronic time clocks are imperative that the temperature are kept at -40°C~85°C at all times.During the course of operation, Alarm, NVSRAM, Square Wave Output, Y2K can be ensured.In terms of RTCs family, RTCs belongs to DS1685.There is 2.5V~3.7V supply voltage for this electrical digital time clock.It should be noted that the RTC times embed a memory of 242B which is usable for storing programs and data as well.A mounting type of Surface Mount has been specified for this RTC module.A total of 24 pins are equipped with the real time clock.Maintaining the supply voltage at 5V is the key to high efficiency.Ideally, the operating temperature should be higher than -40°C.RTC time is recommended that the operating temperature is lower than 85°C.There is minimum supply voltage of 4.5V required for real time clocks to operate.In this case, 5.5V is the maximum supply voltage.
