Purchasing and Inquiry

The LTM®4600 is a complete 10A, DC/DC step-down power supply. Inside the package are the switch controller, power FETs, inductor and all support components. The LTM4600 operates from an input voltage range of 4.5V to 20V and supports an output voltage range of 0.6V to 5V (programmed with a single resistor). This highly efficient design delivers 10A of continuous current (up to 14A peak) without the need for heatsinks or airflow to meet power specifications. Only bulk input and output capacitors are required to form a complete design.

The flat package (only 2.82mm high) enables the utilization of unused space on the bottom of the PC board for high density point-of-load regulation. The use of high switching frequency and adaptive on-time current mode architecture enables fast transient response to input line and load changes without compromising stability. Fault protection features include integrated overvoltage and short circuit protection and an optional shutdown timer. A built-in soft-start timer can be adjusted with a small capacitor.

The LTM4600 is packaged in a thermally enhanced compact (15mm x 15mm), low profile (only 2.82mm high), overmolded land grid array (LGA) package, suitable for automated assembly by standard surface mount equipment. The LTM4600 is lead-free and RoHS compliant.
