TIP42 Transistor has a maximum gain of 75 and is a PNP power transistor. It's a PNP power transistor with base island technology in a TO-220 plastic packaging. It has a 6A continuous collector current and a 100V Collector Emitter voltage. TIP42C transistors have a base current of roughly 3A and a 5V emitter base voltage. TIP42 Bipolar Power Transistor is intended for use in power amplifier and switching applications. TIP42, TIP42C, TIP42B, and TIP42A are the four different types of transistors in this series. Their voltage is what separates them. Among these transistors, TIP42C has the highest load voltage. The TIP42C is a general-purpose switching and amplification device. TIP41C is the complementary NPN type.
